Stop Back pain with a Deep-Penetrating Cold Compression Back Therapy Wrap

      The Back Ice Therapy Wrap combines both cold and compression in a single, easy to use wrap that can be worn over or under clothes, with NO ICY MESS.Typical users of the Back Ice Therapy Wrap are those suffering from a back sprain, a sore back, backache, or back surgery.

The Back Ice Therapy Wrap is placed in a home freezer for about 2 hours to freeze the sewn-in gels. The frozen wrap is then applied and tightened to achieve compression and drive the cold deep into the soft tissues surrounding the spine and spinal muscles. The wrap will drive cold for 15-20 minutes and lower the internal tissue temperature by 10 degrees or more. Immediate relief of pain is obtained and lasts for several hours.

The reduction of soft tissue temperature does 2 things. It blocks the pain receptors to give immediate pain relief. It also reduces inflammation of the sore and tender tissues and muscles. We have conducted Thermal Imaging of sore backs before applying the wrap, immediately after removing the wrap, and 20 minutes after removing the wrap. Before applying the wrap, the imaging shows high temperature in the inflammed areas. After applying the wrap for 10 minutes, the entire area previously covered by the wrap records significant temperature reduction of the deep tissues. AND 20 minutes later, there is virtually no evidence of inflammation as previously recorded.

Why is this important to you? Well, inflammation is a visual indicator of pain and swelling. As long as inflammation is present, so is pain and tenderness. Remove the inflammation and you remove the cause of the pain. Application of the wrap in its frozen state several times a day will stop the inflammation and stop the pain. Long term, the body will use its energy to heal the injured tissues instead of leaking blood and fluid into the injured area (inflammation).
